I hope the dribbling is not the tears of American democracy. Although the unthinkable has occurred many times over the last four years, I remain steadfastly optimistic that our system of laws will function properly. And that on January 20, Donald Trump will leave the White House of his own free will or be escorted out by federal marshals. Good-bye, cruel facsimile of a national leader.
