HERD DOG

Herd dog gone bad
salivates
at the smell
of lamb roast.

This poem is for Storm Cloud, our border collie.  Here are some pictures (taken a few years ago) of Stormy and Ben together in the dog house.  One of them looks pleased.

  1. I wrote this because we cooked a lamb roast once, and Stormy went berserk! I thought, “wait a minute now…” I think she was trying to say, in the picture, “Isn’t there any place I can go for a little peace and quiet?!” Thanks for indulging me, Bluebee.
