Herd Dog/In the Doghouse

HERD DOG

Herd dog gone bad
salivates
at the smell
of lamb roast.

This poem is for Storm Cloud, our border collie.  Here are some pictures (taken a few years ago) of Stormy and Ben together in the dog house.  One of them looks pleased.

Well they certainly look at home with each other in there, even if Storm Cloud does seem a bit timid in there… lol Great photographs and nice little gem of a poem too… Have a wicked Thursday Monica…

Ha ha – ‘herd dog gone bad’ – I love that and your comment ‘one of them looks pleased’ – very sweet pictures. bb.

  5. I wrote this because we cooked a lamb roast once, and Stormy went berserk! I thought, “wait a minute now…” I think she was trying to say, in the picture, “Isn’t there any place I can go for a little peace and quiet?!” Thanks for indulging me, Bluebee.
