Howling Wolf and Bugling Elk Sing Harmony

Early one morning in Yellowstone, an enormous white wolf crossed the road in front of the car.  From the direction he came another wolf began to howl.  The howling continued for more than an hour.  Here’s a minute of it, accompanied by an elk bugling for a mate.

    Beautiful, haunting sounds, Monica – how wonderful to hear these calls in the wild. I understand why you are so desperate to have these amazing creatures protected – it would be just awful to no longer be afforded such a magnificent gift of nature.
