I tried hard to locate public domain audio of this song, but can find it only at the end of a Turner Classic Movie trailer for the movie of the same name.  Thirty seconds of advertising may precede the video – apologies! Listen to Doris Day and Gordon MacRae.

The night before wasn’t bad, either:

night before HM-1 night before HM-2

Bertha passed without any great structural damage . But alas the thick dark clouds obstructed the super moon. 😦 Mmmmm what more “could” we do, other than be in touch ? lol

  2. Monica says:

Hello dear Kenny, I saw that beautiful moon and I hope you did, too. I also hope Bertha minded her manners. So nice to be in touch, and I want to do more. Be well!

Hi Monica, have not been so active of late. strange how one gets a conscience when we neglect our friends. Well i do anyway. lovely photographs Monica with the full moon in my face, Coincidentally it is a full moon today. but the chances of seeing it’s glow is blowing in the wind, the remnants of hurricane bertha is forecast to pass over Middlesbrough today.:( take care my lovely faraway friend. .x 🙂

  4. Monica says:

I love this, Ian! Thank you!! Wasn’t she great? I especially love her sassy persona before Hollywood got to her and made her a bit more straight-laced.

  5. Monica says:

So glad you are back, Gislinde!

  6. Beautiful Monica, memorys of Doris Day and her beautiful voice.
I remember her in a few old western movies as well.
A pleasure to hear Silvery moon again.
I found a link to the same song you might enjoy.
    Regards
    Ian

What a beautiful comment, BB. Sometimes the photos surprise me – the camera sees differently and often better than the eye. You the photographer know this. I’m so glad to have had clear skies that night!

Gosh, Monica, I’ve got goosebumps all over from looking at these remarkable photos. How wonderful to see such a magnificent sight! The photos are beautiful so I can only imagine what it must have felt like to see it with the naked eye. Food for the soul.
