ah, I now have a wonderful picture in my mind Monica… but I think I’m a day late in replying… Time difference wise, it’s early morning on the 22nd March here and I’ve just braved the snow to feed the birds in our garden. Hugs to you,… and Beau of course. xx
wonderful photo of Beau, Monica, and you know it’s strange, but the same applies to me, 😉 I have to be comfortable whilst reading an epic like Tolkien… a favourite of mine too. xPenx
Hi Talia, Tell me about the publishing – what are you up to? I have been loving your poetry. And you were right – when not reading, Beau is definitely our intrepid explorer, always running ahead with a joyful expression on his face.
Good to see that Beau is as learned as his Mum Monica. Sorry I have not visited sooner, the poetry and publishing thing got in the way and I’m still only half way up the hill.
Beau is my kind of canine. I prefer Nick Sparks, Norman Maclean, Kathryn Stockett, Harper Lee, and Mark Twain.

Hi Sandy, Thank you! Collies were over-bred for so many years after Lassie.. Recurring health problems, so it’s probably a good idea you don’t see too many now.
Hi Monica, they do say dogs have poor eye sight, so perhaps a pair of specialy designed reading glasses may be a good idea 🙂
Be well Monica
Kenny 0 dogs 😦

I know you like Tolkien! You remind me of him, and I couldn’t give a writer a greater compliment. Beau, by the way, is on the couch right now.

What good taste he has! Pretty dog, Monica. I don’t see many collies.
Hello Kenny, He’s pretty mellow, so perhaps that would be OK. Dogs rule, don’t they?
Hi, Laz! I know you love dogs! Beau can find his way home, too – but unfortunately even a collie has to be on leash in town – how boring!
You know these English/Scottish dogs, Marjie.
I think he appreciates Tolstoy but doesn’t re-read him every few years. Perhaps he should. But the books are too heavy for his paws.
Hi Bluebee, I think so, too. Life should be sweet.

I love Collies, yes even ones that read 🙂
Peace, xx
Laz
HaHa I hope he enjoyed it !
A very intellectual dog Monica, what are his perceptions of Leo Tolstoy

Sweet. It certainly is a dog’s life – lucky Beau to be able to lie around and read epic poetry 😀
