MELODY OF THE FIREHOLE RIVER
Urgent green
insistent gold-brown
fullness of spring water
plays its deep-toned melody
in a fast, loud, on-rushing rumble
more dramatic than the quiet contemplative alto
the higher-pitched gurgle
of summer’s gentle blue.
Wunderschöne geschrieben wünsche dir schöne glückliche Weihnachtstage und alles liebe und gute Gruss Gislinde.
Danke Gislinde; meine Lieblings-Flüsse sind in Yellowstone gefunden
Hi Ian, Thanks so much for the good wishes and kind words. Re-entry is proceeding slowly. Hope to be back to your blog asap.
Dear Kenny, So happy to have you hopping over here. Yellowstone has such beautiful rivers – some of the few to have been left alone to run as they will. So alive, as you say.
Dear Bluebee, I’m so happy to hear you are playing golf!! Yellowstone was wet – get the ark ready – but I loved being there anyway! Thank you so much for your review/support/encouragement.
Hello Monica, Have dragged myself from off the sofa and doing a little blog hopping. I love rivers, They are alive and fill me with awe at there beauty as they rush to the sea, A natural highway with many a twist and turn. Beautiful, one minuet flowing gently the next a raging torrent. A little like a lady I know. 🙂 But the best part of a river for me is, “they have fish in them ” Nothing nicer than a fresh trout supper.
Take care Monica, you lovely person you.
It looks so beautiful there – love the comparative shots of the seasons. I hope you are having a lovely time, Monica. I snuck off and played golf yesterday (yaaay) and now have a pile of work to complete by the end of today but will complete promised activity this weekend and let you know when I have done so 😉
